Hello everyone,

I have a strange problem. All the messages are being kept in the Recorded Messages in Joomla, but they are not being forward to my email account.

What's more strange, only the emails that ARE being forwarded to my inbox are the test emails I send from the website using the same email address that it's already going to.

Any ideas? I'm clueless.

hi Douglas

Yes I see your new release..Many thank for adding Google Map even if is with API... :-)

Personally I don't have nothing against the fact to use API for add a Map...Is a more powerful and flexible solution..But in general I prefer use solution who not require to create account and manage stuff on third-party website.. It was also for keep the thing more simple for my end Admin users...Anyway with your release my users will have now the choice..that great..

all the best

Dear Daryl,

I have a lot to do right now, on Monday I want to release a new version of Contact Enhanced and MooFAQ, therefore I was postponing to add a new captcha library to Ajax Contact.
Everybody hates SPAM, so I'll work on this tomorrow and hopefully I'll have a solution by the end of the day; I hope that's ok with you;

Kind regards,

Hi Douglas,

I have installed the latest Ajax Contact that you send out today (March 19-2010)
1.5.7.6__100319_1344 with captcha_1.5.12__100319_1347.

Both contact form and captcha (SecureImage) appear to work well. I will let you know if any bots get past it.

Thank you Douglas

Hi Douglas,

As you discovered, the issue arose due to a misunderstanding of how the tool worked.

In my eagerness to see how the map worked, I mistakenly thought that all you had to do to see a result, was add coordinates (as is the case with some google map tools).

The correct way is to complete the fields in 'Info[contact] first.

This will then lead to the coordinates for the address details to appear in the map fields, and the map to appear.

The coordinates can then be fine tuned by dragging the red marker to the exact location. In addition, the zoom level can be increased / decreased by clicking the google map zoom controls.

Hope that helps
Thanks for the great product and support Douglas!

Dear Swami,

I'm sorry I didn't understand your question at first, I guess I misread it;

The Freetext Custom Field is meant to display a instruction or to customize the form, it will not show in the email. If you want it to show in the email you can try to add a hidden field with the same content also.

Dear Kimball,

Welcome to Joomla! ;-)

Have you created this template?

This template needs a lot of work.
First of all, i tis loading it's own version of MooTools instead of using Joomla's built in version;
It does not uses Joomla framework in order to add the header, which includes Javascript and CSS files.

If you've developed this template you can take a look at this tutorial (see link bellow), otherwise, please contact the template developer;

If you have any other question, please do not hesitate to ask.

hi,
thanx for your help. I have added the line into the file:

#component-contact-enhanced .contentheading

and it worx perfect, except for Internet-Explorer.
I found out, that EI doesn't support the shadow in the CSS, but i found one workaround for that as an example:
################################

p.shadowed {
 text-shadow: #0000ff 0px 0px 3px;
}

...
Text that should have a shadow
################################
would it be possible for you to translate this for my conentheading?

would be really great.

thanx Martin

Dear Kelvin,

1- This is over beyond Contact Enhanced's scope. In order to have an automated system we would have to develop a PayPal IPN plugin, that's assuming that you will use PayPal.

2 - Sure! You can use the side bar in order to accomplish that. Please go to Contact Enhanced -> Contact, select the form you wish to edit, then add your picture to the sidebar. Also, please make sure to enable the sidebar in the parameters on the right;

If you have any other question, please feel free to ask;

Your template adds a border to all inputs, however IE does not handle border very well in checkboxes;
In order to avoid your template from styling this checkbox you can add the code bellow to the Ajax Contact Stylesheet - http://moodmediacreative.nl/modules/mod_ajax_contact/css/style.css:
#ajaxcontact .ac-checkbox

Dear Hans,

MooFAQ uses MooTools for the accordion and other effects;

MooTools is the Joomla default javascript library, therefore most templates use MooTools for their fancy things such as menus and slideshows; Your template or other extensions (modules, plugins, components) shouldn't use another javascript library other than MooTools, however if it does use another library such as JQuery it might be incompatible with many MooTools based scripts;

Solution:
Most of the times if you call the JQuery no.Conflict() function it will work; If you don't know how to do you can contact the Menu developer to add it (because the menu script is using another library, it should include this function by default); If the developer neglects to help, please contact me again;
Instructions: http://api.jquery.com/jQuery.noConflict/

Advice:
Always choose extensions that are 100% compatible with Joomla Framework;

Kind regards,

Excellent! I did get the custom redirect to work. Turns out that I didn't have the custom "thank you" page published correctly within Joomla, so the Contact Enhance redirect wasn't able to go to that page. Once I got the page correctly published, everything worked perfectly. thank you for your help, douglas!

I also wanted to mention something that I stumbled on and I'm not sure if it's covered somewhere else or not, (I didn't see it anywhere). If you want the contact message to go to more than one email address once the viewer clicks "Send", just fill in the email address field in the contact form with several email addresses, each separated by a comma. It works!

Dear Sam,

All you have top do is change the Slider type under Component parameters;

Kind regards

This does in fact what you said. It will allow the top category to be closed at first. But this is not a good solution for me because when changing to the 'Custom' Slider Type, a function is lost that I would rather keep. In the 'Custom' mode the other categories do not automatically close when another is opened as they do in the default type.

Is there a solution to have both functions enabled?

Thanks
