Hello,
I installed the module with no problems but when I submit the form, I get this message.

Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /~fmmetro/modules/mod_ajax_contact/ajax.php could not be found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Any ideas why this may be happening? the site is still under construction but it can be found here. http://208.43.39.5/~fmmetro/

That's odd. I've never seen this error before.
The installation might not have been successful. Can you please check whether this file /~fmmetro/modules/mod_ajax_contact/ajax.php is in the directory?

From the FAQ's my best guess will be an incompatibility. I say this because I am attempting to display your module inside a shadow panel by Ninjaforge which presumably also use either Mootools/ jQuery.

Any speculation however as to why the button and "send a copy to" texts are still in macro text?

You just have to edit the language file [Joomla]/language/en-GB/en-GB.mod_ajax_contact.ini and move to your language's folder;
